If you’re looking for a Mobile Suit Gundam box status, this is it. Too dreadful it’s a Chinese bootleg. If you don’t deliver Japanese but, for some reason, aloof want to contemplate the indicate in Japanese, observe elsewhere, the subtitles are unsuitable and the video is muddy. If you want to glimpse the point to in English, you’ll rep nicer looking video, but with slightly curious transitions between episodes. Of course, there are no special features, but the case is nice.

You gain all the episodes from the new gundam 0079 series. You score the intro,and closing unprejudiced once on each disc. Being the intro themes from the begining episode at the initiate,and the last episode has the closing themes on each disk. But all the episodes are intact. The very last disk at the demolish it has some extras. Like some of the recent marketing trailers of the expose,and the intro and the closing without credits. It has the english dub from the cartoon network done by vancouver, canada ocean group. Unique Japanese audio as well with the english subtitles but the english substitles aren’t done too well. Chinese subtitles are also included. I give this chinese bootleg four stars.

I got the zeta gundam complete series chinese bootleg the other day. Well all that it is missing is the 2nd half of the 7 th seventh episode after the commercial smash. I felt a bit abominable cause I missed the dramatic battle scene between Kamille and Lila. It unprejudiced jumps to the next episode. It’s the only minor allege. The rest of the other episodes are all intact. All having the intro and closings. But the intro and closing don’t have the 80’s j-pop unusual music. It has the same same unusual instrumental music from the bandai box state release a couple of years ago due to copyrights. The english dub is done by blue ocean group in calgary canada. There’s the orginal japanese audio with english subtitles and chinese subtitles. No extras though. I give it a four. Would of been a 4 and a half if the whole 7th episode was included. But I can’t ask for too worthy since they are cheap bootlegs. You can obtain these cheaper if you recognize on ebay. That’s if you don’t mind a cheap bootleg.

At least this time we knew it was going to slay and not linger in the dangerous vacuum Adult Swim had become by time they finally pulled HM off the air.

I consider it’s notable to say that this is the best example of a cartoon about kids that wasn’t meant for kids. It is the memories a lot of us around Brendon Small’s (actual) age have of our childhood – our friends, our families, our teachers and bullies. It’s all there. Of course, I was the (fictional) Brendon’s age when my father remarried, too, so that share of his experience (out of touch father and a single mother) really did hit home for me.

I unprejudiced didn’t deem the storyline was as eerie as the first one. Maybe it’s because there was more of a mystery surrounding the organization that was responsible for allowing these killings in the first Hostel. Now we secure to actually search for them do the bidding over these girls. It fair looked really cheesy to me. The darkness and suspense that was indicate in the first film was no longer there.

“Hostel Piece 2″ picks up the thread where the modern left off. After this effective opening chapter, director Eli Roth starts telling the horrifying tales again, about three American college students in Slovakia. For the sequel Roth changes the gender of the students to female (Lauren German, Heather Matarazzo and Bijou Phillips) and also includes the sub-plots of “buyers” or sadistic tormentors played by Roger Bart and Richard Burgi.

Not mighty can be said about the thin location originally inspired by urban legends. “Hostel Fraction 2″ like its predecessor takes it granted that legends are honest. As a consequence all we have to do is to wait for the tortures to commence, and raze. The sequel provides the unpleasant tortures and expressionless deaths and is beefy of blood and screams. The extremely graphic film, however, is hardly called scary because it has no nuance or subtlety suggesting the horrors that are to near.

In fact the film does not attempt to screen the fact that dreadful fates await the characters. There is no sense of suspense; what we don’t know is the diagram how these unsuspecting students are tortured. But maybe two “Hostel” films are supposed to be like that. Roth is quite fine at making the bloody torture scenes and the shadowy interior sets are impressive. The photography showing the countryside is also very suitable, fine and creepy at the same time.

There is another thing Eli Roth is gracious at and that is the casting. The main cast is very righteous (and they are all talented), but here I’m talking about the cameos. Ruggero Deodato, director of “Cannibal Holocaust” briefly appears, doing something I shouldn’t mention. Milan Knazko (who was really Minister for Culture of the Slovak Republic) appears as “Sacha.” To eye cameos and references to other films would be pleasing comic to me because they are virtually the list of the people Roth idolizes. Was there Quentin Tarantino? Yes, seek the TV closely.

However, I couldn’t like the film very remarkable despite (or because of) these “merits.” From at determined point “Hostel Fragment 2″ starts being too self-conscious. Should we hold seriously the middle-aged lady taking a shower of blood, apparent reference to Elizabeth Báthory? Should we laugh when Roger Bart’s character refers to one Disney animation character he played? The third act of the film almost becomes slapstick with gores.

“Hostel Piece 2″ with the structure that has been getting more and more repetitious since the new has surprisingly less scares than you request, being emotionally calm from the viewers, almost cynical in its tone in describing the characters (advantageous or terrible, killing or killed) and their behaviors. The film is state with doing what it does, often disregarding the audiences who want to be vexed or (if I may employ the word) entertained.

One of 2003’s biggest surprises for Anime on both sides of the Atlantic was a laugh-out-loud hilarious, 45-minute dinky gem called ANIMATION RUNNER KUROMI, a zany romp about the trials and tribulations of a young woman taking a job at –you guessed it– an animation studio. Given the success of this OVA, it’s almost no surprise that a sequel would follow three years later. “Sequel” is a term that many viewers apprehension, as it often translates to “nefarious follow-up.” This does not include ANIMATION RUNNER KUROMI 2; all the eye-popping gags, fast-forward paced wackiness, and sidesplitting humor that made the recent so grand fun are assist. (So are the same pronounce actors in the dub, but more on that later.) Equally attractive is that the glossy production values courtesy of Akitaroh Daichi and his studio have returned, maintaining a sense of consistency. I esteem it when follow-ups hold consistency.

While this bodes well for an immensely engaging sequel, all is not well for the workaholic Kuromi and her charges at Studio Diminutive. Shortly after the cancellation of their successful note “Time Journeys”, the limited facility finds itself juggling three different shows at a time; they even seem to be falling leisurely on schedule. The area takes a turn for the worse with the arrival of Rei Takashimadaira, a self-proclaimed professional. Unlike Kuromi and company, he is obsessed with meeting deadlines rather than doing a quality job. What ensues is a hilarious clash of wills as our heroes struggle with his pushy, snobbish ways. In the demolish, how will their shows turn out?

Finding out is only allotment of the entertainment value. Equally dazzling is Central Park Media’s treatment of this sequel: the video and audio quality is on par with the unusual release, with a few unusual extras to boot. In what may probably be the best bonus (not that it has to be), all the teach actors from the splendid English version of KUROMI are benefit. Well, most of them anyway–Suzy Prue is replaced by Carol Jacobanis, and the president is voiced by Mike Pollack, but both match the unique voices so closely it’s hard to know the inequity. The link late the whole dub, is a bang-up performance by one of Recent York’s most common express actresses, Lisa Ortiz as the overworked Kuromi herself. Ortiz has always been a common insist actress of mine ever since I heard her as Deedlit in Describe OF LODOSS WAR, and I have since heard her thunder in many other roles (and yes, that includes Lina Inverse from SLAYERS!) . Hearing her inform in anything impartial makes my heart throb. As such, it is very gorgeous to hear her return–she even improves from the first time around, as well. When Kuromi finally cracks down into hilariously exaggerated frustration, it’s sure Ortiz is having a blast.

Wayne Grayson, Dan Green, Eric Stuart, Angora Deb, and Rachael Lillis reprise their roles as Kuromi’s staff, and are unbiased as fun the second time around. However, Green steals the exhibit as the snobbish producer Takashimadaira. Typically I have heard him do serious roles in productions such as JUNGLE EMPEROR LEO and NOW AND THEN, HERE AND THERE, but this is one of his most FUN performances to date. Major kudos to Tom Wayland and Tripwire Productions for pulling off a dub every bit the equivalent of the fresh, and besting it.

As for the sequel itself, it’s hard to imagine even the most picky of Anime fans passing up ANIMATION RUNNER KUROMI 2. Crammed with more laughs and entertainment, it delivers as a favorable follow-up… although the only negative is that it’s all over after 45 minutes. Perhaps we’ll peek a third installment in the reach future?

I really enjoyed the first OAV and getting a chance to gawk the behind-the-scenes of an anime studio from the inspiring parody and the abundant of special features featured on the first DVD.

With this second OAV series, “Fruits Basket!” director Daichi Akitaroh, Watanabe Hajime and Itami Aki are relieve together for round II of the adventures of Studio Petit. And again, the OAV was a winner at the 2005 Tokyo Anime Magnificent.

This time, Kuromi’s boss decides to have the staff work not on impartial one series but three series.

For Kuromi, in her mind, more anime series means more staffing but not for Studio Petit. It’s more of everyone shifting their to different priorities and working on three anime series all at once.

Of course, with the staff being pushed to their limits and having to work on three series that are so different from each other, there is danger that the episodes for the series will not be completed in time.

Kuromi tries at first but everyone continues to have their excuses and leave work early.

But things change when the boss of Studio Petit brings in a customary producer who will do what it takes to perform clear the staff completes their deadlines in time, even if that means sacrificing quality. Even if it means firing the staff.

After watching this series, I actually had the same impression of Kuromi that anime studios, when they work on multiple series, more staff is brought in. But after watching this series, I can study how difficult things are if there are no staff hirings and the same staff have to work on multiple series.

This would probably retort why we have seen quality differences in animation (ie. the beginning half of “Ranma 1/2 and the latter half) why a series was not as fine as it consume to be.

But all in all, how this is handled on this latest “Animation Runner Kuromi 2 is hilarious, fun and delightful.

The novel OAV series was released wait on in 2004 and unlike the last series which kept switching from animation to character sketches, this one doesn’t do that. And I didn’t mind that one bit.

AUDIO:

I watched the OAV series both in English and Japanese and both are well done. There is no good action and if anything, it’s more or less an anime that is pudgy of dialogue. But audio for the vow work and music came definite and found no problems.

SPECIAL FEATURES:

Central Park Media/US Manga Corps really delivered in terms of special features on the first OAV DVD release. The same with this second DVD.

Included are alternate angles, storyboard features, interview with Daichi Akitaroh, A segment titled “A Day in the Life of Kuromi”, art gallery, sketch gallery, Kuromi trailers and more.

The intervew with Daichi Akitaroh is around eight minutes long and he goes into why a sequel was created and how he wanted to tie up a few loose ends left from the first. How he also wanted to go deeper by adding a rival for Kuromi for this episode.

My popular was a 10 dinky feature with Japanese relate actress Asoh Kaori (Kuromi) having to work as an animation runner for a day at an anime studio.

In this featurette, Asoh goes to the residences of the animators to seize up completed pieces and unbiased running abet and forth from the office. Also, a message from the staff tedious the second OAV series. This was very fun to glance and although everyone was in a racy mood for this feature, I can only imagine how things are during deadline week at an anime studio.

But again, CPM delivered on the special features for this second DVD.

The series is loosely based on the genuine exploits of the leisurely Col.Greg “Pappy” Boyington, credited with 28 “kills” during the war and winner of the Congressional Medal of Honor (CMH) . A fair American hero.

All in all, a fun testosterone romp.

Perhaps Universal will release Season 2 in one complete package next go around. And a yelp over by one of the actors or producers would be a welcome edition.

Along with other fans of this prove, I’m delighted that finally after a 2 year wait Vol. 2 was released on DVD.

I bought this title a few weeks ago and must say that even though I’m very ecstatic to have this exhibit on DVD I’m also a bit disappointed in this DVD release out of the following reasons:

No digital restoration of the portray (but I can live with that)

What bugs me the most is that 5 episodes were crammed on each of disc 1 and disc 2 but disc 3 only holds two episodes. I believe they should have divided it evenly up into 4 episodes per disc that draw the studio doesn’t have to compress the episodes so remarkable and have a better portray quality. This might be a point that should be taken under consideration if Universal plans to release Vol. 3 of this explain on DVD.

No specials on the dvd area.

The reveal itself receives 5 stars, but the DVD release only 3 stars because of the reasons mentioned above.

There were few TV shows that made a greater impression on me growing up than did this classic western, The Mammoth Valley, which ran on ABC from 1965-1969. From its stellar cast featuring the incomparable Barbara Stanwyck as Victoria Barkley, (the matriarch of a close-knit, proud and prominent family in 1878 California,) well-written/action-packed scripts, to stirring music, The Huge Valley remains a standout in the barren plains of TV mediocrity.

The first TV drama to feature a remarkable female lead (a woman the commercials proudly proclaimed had “backbone and bite”), it also dealt realistically with situations formerly taboo for TV. It began by revealing that Victoria’s husband, Tom Barkley, a prominent, wealthy cattle rancher now deceased, had been eager in a secret affair leading to the birth of an illegitimate son. In addition to the ranch, the family controlled gold and silver mines, citrus groves as well as logging camps.

This five-disc (episodes on “A” and “B” sides) boxed area contains all 30 of the show’s first season episodes, including its pilot. A few of these episodes were available years ago on awful quality VHS tapes, but this extraordinary release represents the first time that the entire first season of the series has been available to the public in ANY format! As such, most of these episodes have not been seen uncut since the point to aired more than 35 years ago.

The pilot, which introduces the mighty and proud Barkley family, depicts the conflict when the illegitimate son, Heath, abruptly arrives at the sizable Barkley Ranch in the San Joaquin Valley, arrive Stockton, Calif., in the midst of a range war and claims his birthright.

After the modern death of his mother, Heath had learned his father’s identify. In addition to Miss Stanwyck (who performed many of her gain stunts despite her age), the cast included Richard Long as eldest son, attorney Jarrod, Peter Breck as son and ranch foreman Carve, Lee Majors as Heath, Linda Evans as daughter Audra, and during its first season, Charles Briles as youngest son Eugene, a character who was dropped without explanation. Napoleon Whiting portrayed the family’s servant, Silas, throughout the series.

Here’s hoping the remaining seasons of this award-wining series will be released ASAP! We can also only hope that this means other studios that maintain the rights to other obedient vintage westerns, like The High Chaparral, will glean the message that there is an appreciative audience anxiously waiting and initiate releasing these episodes on DVD complete season boxed sets.

*Note: This series looks extraordinary on DVD and what’s better is that they are all unedited. There are scenes here that I’ve not seen in years!

I’ve had most of the Immense Valley episodes on tape from television. Most of them are obviously edited, due to the commercials. This is my common western series. I am so joyful they are releasing this!

While I didn’t grow up when the Mammoth Valley was originally aired, I quiet watched it most mornings during the 70s-80s. I tried Bonanza a few times, but found the Broad Valley more keen. Barbara Stanwyck had even said, “Our explain is grittier and more realistic than Bonanza. Our stories have to do with hardships and dangers of living in the west.” Plus, the Barkley ranch is a cattle ranch…for right cowboys!

Okay, first I have to mention my approved western character. I know Lee Majors (Heath) and Linda Evans (Audra) received grand attention, but to my mind the “perfect” cowboy will always be Reduce Barkley (Peter Breck) . It took most of Season 1 for them to really score his outfit down. He first wears a little hat and not too-colorful outfit before changing to the huge hat, brown shirts and shaded leather vest and gloves which will stamp him as the ever-tempermental tough cowboy of the west.

The series is about a matriarchal family living in Stockton, California. While the illustrious Ponderosa may boast more land, the Barkley ranch, overall, probably boasted more wealth in all its business ventures from cattle to peach groves to mines and land. The Barkley’s were also illustrious not only by the California government, but even in Mexico and other states.

There is first son Jarrod, who prefers his law practice to sweating out in the hot sun taking care of the ranch. He is often cool-headed and logical, preferring diplomatic approaches to more violent ones. He’s a wizard in the courtroom and he proves that he won’t support down on a primary, no matter the cost. Richard Long played this character beautifully. Ever suave, Jarrod could be a hit with the women who liked is delicate, shiny ways of doing things. He is often at odds with Cut, as Jarrod prefers more diplomatic approaches to solving problems than the fist-a-cuffs of Slice.

Middle son is Reduce Barkley. Gash is in charge of the ranch. He has some 100 or so men to observe after who aid to believe the ranch from cattle to blacksmithing, to taking care of the trees and horses. He is fiery and tempermental, a complete opposite to his older brother, Jarrod. Cleave is passionate and will thunder his mind no matter what anyone says or does. Cut also loves a qualified fight, and he’ll grasp on two or three men in a bar-room brawl, if principal. Especially sensitive to criticism of himself or his family, he is extremely protective. Victoria quoted him once, “When Cut is pushed he pushes wait on with everything he has.” Peter Breck also incorporated Chop as a fierce and deadly gunman. He was clocked at six-hundredths of a second on the intention by a western magazine that has him down as the fastest in television history.

Youngest son is Heath who is actually a half-brother to the family. He shares the same father, Tom Barkley, but a different mother. Heath, in the pilot, storms the Barkley ranch after his mother dies to consume what is his. At first he gets more than he bargains for when Slit confronts him, suspecting Heath to be a survey for the railroad. Heath’s character lies between Jarrod and Slice. He will fight when pushed, but he will also be more diplomatic as well. He’s often mild and brooding in his demeanor. Ironically, the person he’s closest to his Victoria. He also enjoys being with Lop, and the two of them allotment some titanic adventures throughout the series. He also has a special affection for Audra, probably because they are both the youngest, and Audra is the first Barkley he comes across. There are also more episodes titillating Heath than any other character. Lee Majors was a new-comer to acting and Barbara Stanwyck actually took the then young actor under her fly. During the course of four/five seasons, you will look him really shape his character. You’ll also perceive that his southern accent becomes considerable less clear than in the first season.

The Ponderosa never had a regular beauty on their prove, but the Gigantic Valley did! Linda Evans, while not going to acquire over anyone with her acting, did so as far as eye-candy is concerned. Linda was even quoted as saying, “Contain me, I know why I’m on the expose.” As the feisty Audra, she plays a character who loves helping children and the unpleasant, but she can also be fiery and tempermental. She even says, “Carve is the only one who understands me.”

Last and certainly not least is Barbara Stanwyck as Victoria. Barbara had already had a more than successful film career. Loving the outdoors and the passe west, Stanwyck tried for years to have a western, but the networks never believed anyone wanted to behold a female cowboy. Then, the Vast Valley came along. For the first few episodes, she’s stuck in graceful dresses and sparkling powerful inside the mansion. Barbara had snappy approached the producers to spot the report straight. “I’m not here to sit on couches and respond the door.” She demanded that Victoria have some adventures of her possess, and she certainly got her wish. What’s more her stories reveal very effective as she often uses her mind to acquire out of a position. She’s also not abominable with a gun, so scrutinize out!

You will spy so many future film stars and even modern film stars of the day grace the Immense Valley. Many of the stories deal in business ventures, greedy landlords, gangs of bullies, Heath’s battle to salvage a residence as a bastard son, and so forth.

The reveal also has, to me, one of the best themes in television history. The very music cries of something spacious and story as we follow this family on their adventures.

The only reason I give this 4 stars is because it did steal them some time to really resolve in. Seasons 2 and 3 are fabulous!

Yes, the series will probably demonstrate its age since the mid to tedious sixties when it ran, but to me, this western T.V. reveal is timeless!

First of all, I adore this movie. I was quite surprised to sight it’s release on DVD, and needless to say, I grabbed it. There is no doubt that this disc is loaded with extras, but sadly, the claim that the film has been “fully restored” is extremely misleading. The advantage of these review forums, is to provide insight, from someone who has already bought the product, to those fervent. And, that’s what I’m here to do.

Here are the DVD’s special features, as listed: LETTERBOXED PRESENTATION (1.85:1), REMASTERED SOUNDTRACK (in Dolby 5.1 and DTS), NEVER-BEFORE-SEEN FOOTAGE, AUDIO COMMENTARY: Jack Vacek (Cinematographer) and Warner Leighton (Editor), 3 TRAILERS (The recent theatrical trailers for “GONE IN 60 SECONDS” and “THE JUNKMAN”, and another for the remastered version of “GONE IN 60 SECONDS”), EXTENSIVE BEHIND-THE-SCENES PHOTO GALLERY, DVD-ROM CAPABILITIES, INTRODUCTION with Denice Halicki (H.B. Halicki’s widow) and “Eleanor”.

Sounds very enticing, upright? That’s what I belief. Hell, to be unbiased, I really didn’t care about the extras, as long as I could procure H.B. Halicki’s unique classic on DVD! Naturally, I immediately keep the DVD in. Then, my dissapointment began.

Now, what the packaging WON’T articulate you, and what I’m about to, is that this isn’t, in fact, a “fully restored” version of the film, but rather, one that has been doctored. Unfortunately, the entire film has been RE-SCORED with crappy music, supposedly aimed at “updating” this classic film, thereby dumping ALL the music from the modern slash. Yep, the catchy opening title “GONE IN 60 SECONDS” tune is gone, along with the “SUPERMAN” tune, and everything else, as well. Needless, to say, I am very disappointed. Why do people feel the need to mess with movies, like they do? I don’t judge H.B. Halicki would have been proud with what his widow has done with the rights to the film, so far.

I probably wouldn’t have minded this DVD release, if it had offered the fresh mono soundtrack on a separate audio channel, like most other remastered DVD’s offer. Then, I would have been handsome with it, as long as I could have the version I wanted to peruse. Instead, anyone with hopes to come by a notice fresh copy on either DVD or video of this classic car theft film, in it’s novel format, are aesthetic great screwed. And, that’s too awful. So, my advice is to stick with the modern out-of-print MEDIA Home Entertainment release. Acquire me, that tape will level-headed be in gargantuan ask for years to arrive.

One more thing, there is a website: www.gonein60seconds.com. Perhaps, this would be a broad site for apt fans of the film to file their complaints. And, who knows, maybe someday we will gape the unusual version released in a respective manner on DVD.

First of all, I’ve loved this movie since I was 6 years faded. My mom and dad saw it in the cinema — more than once — while they were dating in 1974. To say the least, this title holds special significance in my whole family. Which is why it’s expansive to survey it re-released on both VHS and DVD for all to relish.

For those of you who, like me, have every scene, every line, every sound execute of the fresh movie committed to memory, you will be timid when you play the “remastered” version. For one thing, the recount is shapely. It’s never looked so qualified. And the soundtrack has never sounded so splendid, either — because it’s been completely redone from scratch. That’s the other thing. The sound effects are all original. Gone are the authentic, live-recorded engine sounds, tire screeches, and other hard effects. Gone also is the novel music, including my approved tune, “I Do Hope The Man Doesn’t Gather Me”, and the title song, “Gone In Sixty Seconds”. For someone looking for a factual re-release of the authentic, recent film, this is disappointing. But for me, someone who already owns an current copy of the frail MEDIA videotape release of the film, I seek this remastered version unprejudiced as a fun modernization of one of my accepted flicks.

The modern sound effects are delicate. I am a sound designer among other things, and some of the fresh crashes and guttural V8 engine sounds made me drool. They may not be true-to-life anymore, but they are immense in their hold upright. It’s almost surreal, seeing all these customary muscle cars, but hearing crystal-clear digital stereo effects. By dissimilarity, the disturbingly mono novel dialogue track underlaid beneath them sounds almost ridiculous! Fortunately, there is no need for distinguished talking during the 40-minute perambulate, easily the highlight of the film.

In short, to really luxuriate in the remastered version of Gone In 60 Seconds, you’ve got to occupy it for what it is — a new “refreshment” of the current film. It’s been remixed to appeal more to the same young crowd who enjoyed the 2000 remake with Nicholas Cage. If you are a right Gone In 60 Seconds fan, however, don’t cessation here. Go in search of the new 1974 film in all its glory, on its new video cassette. A upright fan must indeed have both, for the audio differences between the two versions are so certain, you could almost judge them two separate films.
